Chunghwa Hard Pack
The Chinese state banquet cigarette, and still the reference point for the sweetened Yunnan style.
Hunan's business-class cigarette — clean, bright and noticeably less sweetened than its rivals.
In production since 1994
Far East buys every product it reviews at retail. We take no money from tobacco manufacturers, run no affiliate links and sell nothing. Prices shown are indicative retail in the product’s home market.
Furongwang is the blend to reach for if the Chunghwa house style reads as too sugary. The leaf is brighter and the finish drier, with a faint grassy note that survives the whole stick.
It is not a subtle cigarette, but it is a clean one, and the paper quality is a visible cut above the price bracket.

Tar and nicotine are the manufacturer or market-label declarations, measured by machine under ISO conditions. They do not describe what any individual smoker inhales.
Smoking kills. A high reader rating means people who smoke it like it. It does not mean it is safe, and no cigarette in this catalogue is safer than any other.

The Chinese state banquet cigarette, and still the reference point for the sweetened Yunnan style.
The everyday southern Chinese blend: sweet, forgiving, and priced to be bought by the carton.
Grown and blended at the source in Yunnan, and the most floral cigarette in the Chinese mainstream.
